We love a person, but we fell in love with an idea.

Dario de Judicibus, Rome, May 16th, 2008

Translations

  • Si ama una persona, ma ci si innamora di un’idea.

NOTE: this idea was born during a discussion on the difference between love and falling in love. The concept is that it often the latter is based on the image that we have of a certain person. But love is a deep feeling that accepts others for what they are, with their virtues and their defects, the capabilities and the limitations that characterize them. In my opinion this is the fundamental difference.
